                           Welcome to the Translation Concepts Network



 

We are an international network of researchers working in the field of translation & interpreting concepts. The Translation Concepts Network consolidates the research initiated by the Advanced Translation Research Center (ATRC) in the 1990s, integrates experience from several Marie Curie high level scientific Euroconferences (Eurocon) and draws on the innovative potential of an international group of young T&I researchers (MuTra and ATRC Group).

  • Network shows you how the (semantic) network is made up and supported by People and the Gerzymisch Foundation.

  • Research leads you to current and completed EU research projects carried out by the ATRC Group.

  • Resources includes material of lectures, seminars, workshops and diploma theses by students and scholars affiliated to the ATRC.

  • Publications provides fast, economical convenient Internet publication for innovative thought on translation and interpreting for students, colleagues, and institutions who have worked with the concepts and methodologies of multidimensional translation (MuTra) developed by the ATRC Group.

  • MuTra Advanced Training & PhD School is an offspring of the Marie Curie MuTra Euroconference Series and welcomes you to a unique series of advanced training events in translation and interpreting (T&I) supported by the Foundation for the Promotion of Translation and Interpreting Research.

  • The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Übersetzungs- und Dolmetschwissenschaft (DGÜD) is an association dedicated to translation and interpretation research with a focus on its German roots and provides members free of charge with access to the DGÜD Yearbook series and other selected TC publications.
